Fairy Magic

When I was over at the Crafts and Me website last week spending more money on yet more lovely stamps I happened to notice they had a blog and wouldn’t you know it I had just the stamp I wanted to use for their latest challenge.

Crafts and Me Pink Challenge Main

She is called ‘Love is Gone’, and what a beautiful fairy she is too. I just adore these Ching-Chou Kuik stamps, such grace and beauty.

I have coloured her in with promarkers in various shades of pink and given her black roses to symbolise the lost love. She is matted onto some Kanban card and that in turn onto some digital paper from Summer Driggs and also the black and white bit is from Graphicus from their Guild Paperpack.

The sentiment I created in Photo Impact.

Guess what I discovered, no idea how this happened but I don’t have any black roses! How did that happen? I had to colour one. I almost drained my black promarker colouring in a deep red rose, which I then glittered. Strangely it’s that sort of glitter that gives a green glow against a dark colour, oooooops. The other three lovely little pink roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts. If you want to go flower crazy be sure and check them out!

I am entering this little darlin’ into

Crafts and Me – Black, Pink and White challenge

Wild Orchid’s first ever challenge – Say it with Flowers!

Cute Card Thursday – Summer Colours – hope hot pink qualifies as summery and ditto

Delightful Challenges – Summer Colours also

By The Cute and Girly – A summery creation, again the colour combo I hope fits the bill

Stamp with Fun – A fairy on your project

Flutterby Wednesday – A fairy etc. on your card – Hooray great to see them back

Now I finally have time to concentrate on my now defunct monitor which decided to give up the ghost on Monday morning cos this spare of my Daughter’s is killing my eyes, and I am not altogether sure what my posts look like as it’s way too bright!

  4. Beautifully done, Lin - love those colours, too. I have made a few cards with that image, though I don't own it - a friend stamped me some. I don't like them all but I do like that particular one.

  6. Hi there Lin,
First off can I say sorry for not popping by sooner...I have been meaning to but you know what it's like, life get's in the way, my hubby works away, and last week was off on holiday, so no blogging for me because we had so much to do in the house......
I am so glad to meet you in the huge world of blogging though, and as a mutual CC designer and friend hope to get to know you better, your comment on my card today just blew my mind, I have never had such a compliment, your way too kind, and if you spoke to Vix about me you would know I don't credit myself highly, so what you said really gave me an enormous boost....

I am really looking forward to visiting you more, I don't get too much time on the PC at the moment because of family commitments but when I do I hope you don't mind me popping by, your blog looks really awesome, I just wished I a little more articulate to be able to express how beautiful I think your work is....and look forward to seeing and hearing more about you...

So I will leave you now and have a nosey around, take care and speak soon

ps...I was at my friend's shop when I saw your comment and they told me that they have art by Thomas Kinkade and showed me some of his stuff...Well I was just speachless you thought I reminded you of him...No word's can tell you how much that means to me....Thank you
