Dream Valley’s challenge this fortnight is ‘no designer paper’ and we are sponsored by Freckled Fawn with a $20 voucher for their online store, where you could choose from over 300 washi and deco tapes.
I had a Stamps Away stamp I hadn’t yet used and my Brother In Law and my Sister are into steam, so this stamp was perfect for his upcoming birthday.
I stamped it onto some slightly metallic white card and embossed it. The background layers were created with Embossalicious and Sue Wilson embossing folders, all layers were matted onto black cardstock, and I coloured some silver peeloffs with a permanent black pen to serve as little corners.
I am entering this into the following:-
A Gem of a Challenge – #111 One for the Boys
Cardz4Guyz – #2 Monochrome
Challenges and Candies – #26 Monochromatic

ReplyDeleteLin, I'd love to be looking in when your brother in law receives this birthday card - the impact of your black and white scheme with such beautiful embossing and layering is breath taking- stunning-gorgeous. I don't think we need be so pedantic as to disallow black as a non- colour in our challenge - that's just a scientific interpretation in my mind- this card needs to be seen and I feel very privileged that I've had that opportunity.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this lovely card in our challenge this week. Ingrid xx (OSAAT Team)
