CCM 108 Black and White

Welcome to our second challenge at Crafty Cardmakers and More. Our second team is playing this week and Kim is hosting this challenge for us. She has chosen Black and White as her theme and you need to go check our her card because it’s a beauty and one she has had published in the new Spring 2014 Woodware Catalogue, and coicidentally Woodware Craft Collection  are one of our Sponsors today with a fabulous £12 to be spent at one of their retailers either online, or if you live near one, in store! Our other sponsor is Di’s Digistamps with $12 to spend in their fabulous online store.

CCM 108 Black White B

My card is made with all Chloe Endean stamps. Her loopy background stamp has created the background, which I embossed with clear embossing powder over black ink, and then glittered inside all the loops! The central flower is two stamps, each with three petals and I stamped them both twice and then cut them out and layered them up to make the flower. The fabulous sparklies also came from Chloe’s online store. The two ribbons and lace are from my stash and the corners are silver metal corners which I embossed with black glint embossing powder from Wow. The birthday sentiment is just a holographic peel off which I stuck on black card and trimmed round.

I also made an virtually identical card, but this time I reversed the colours of the flower.

I wonder which you prefer? I did think I would prefer the mainly white one when I was making them, but in reality it appears I prefer the mainly black one! I know the embossing against the black looks silver, but it actually is just clear holo powder over Brilliance Moonlight White Ink!

I am entering this/these into the following:-

Addicted to Stamps – Flowers
Fussy and Fancy – #105 Monochromatic
Get Inky – #3 Handmade Flowers
Great Impressions – January: Something New (the Chloe stamps are all new)
Lacy Sunshine – #25 Bingo (Bottom left to top right, ribbon, glitter, flower)
My Sheri Crafts – #125 Delightful Digis
Sister Act Card Challenge – 40 Anything Goes
Stampin’ For the Weekend – Happy Birthday
Sweet Pea Stampers – Flower Power
The Squirrel and the Fox – #61 Show off your new stuff
