CCM 157 Love, Love, Love

Our challenge today at Crafty Cardmakers is Love, Love, Love! With Valentine’s Day just a few days away, we would love to see all your love inspired projects.

157 Love, Love, Lovea

I made my card for my Daughter, as she is the most special person in my life and the one I love the most, with the dog running a very close second, lol.

I started with blank card and used a few Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry, and Twisted Citron to ink the background. Then I used a stencil I got from ebay, no idea whose it is, but its the one with the small broken and distressed hearts, which I inked through with Milled Lavendar and Shaded Lilac DI.

The heart and the white heart small stamp which you can only just see in the picture, are from the Chocolate Baroque Punky Hearts set. I inked some card with shaded lilac and then stamped the heart with versamark and embossed with a sparkly WOW embossing powder.

The pic below is too dark, but has captured all the sparkle on the card which the above pic has not.

157 Love, Love, Love Darker

Having cut the heart out I positioned it on the inked background and then using it as a guide positioned a Prima stencil which has all different sized wings on it, and using Dreamweaver Pearl Paste I made the first wing, I gave it a light dusting of glamour dust and when it was dry I repositioned the heart as a guide to place the second wing.

When it was all dry I glued down the heart and made the sentiment on my pc with a few different fonts. I inked the background that they were printed on as I didn’t want the stark white of the card against my background, and finally went round then various words with a quickie glue pen and purple glitter.

The background card is using my brand new Tonic Bowscale Dies, with a small sliver of purple glitter wrapping paper between the card base and the decorated top layer.
