Hi everyone, hope you have all had a good Easter and haven’t eaten too many choccie treats. Personally I have been on a healthy eating regime and haven’t had one chocolate egg! On the plus side, I lost 5lbs this week. Hooray!
Anyhow enough of me and my double chins. Our challenge at Hobbycutz this time is Clean and Simple, and we are sponsored by the Hobbycutz store itself. They have such fabulous lazer cuts, and I have used one on my card.
I painted it in white, and then went over in gold paint. I still wasn’t satisfied that it looked gold enough though so I finally went over it in Pebeo gold gilding wax. The bird was coloured with promarkers over the top of the gold paint. So he has a sort of golden glow to him.
The paper is from Craftwork Cards’ Botanica kit, and 8x8 pad which I trimmed down to fit the smaller 6” square card. The top of it has gone through my Happy Cut with an Embossabilities embossing folder, and then I dusted distress ink over the top to pick up the embossed detail, in this case a script folder. The sentiment is from the same Botanica kit.
I am entering this into the following:-
4 Crafty Chicks – #190 Sentiments Only {No Pictures}
Craftitude – #63Anything Goes
Crafty Catz – #227 B is for Birdcage

Love the way you have used that beautiful designer paper using the embossing on the top and the flowers on the bottom as a perfect background for your die cut bird in the golden cage. Such a pretty ruffle around your sentiment! Gorgeous card!
ReplyDeleteThis is just so pretty and I adore the design paper.
