CCM 114 A Floral Profusion–Handmade Flowers

Our challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers this time around is handmade flowers. One would do, but a profusion of them would be even better!

We are sponsored by Crafty Sentiments with three images from their online digi store.

If you pop over to the Crafty Cardmakers blog you can see the Design Team’s work, some of which feature the Crafty Sentiments images.

For myself I just decided to go down the floral wreath path, and made a nice summer wreath to brighten things up in my dull looking craft room. My bungalow is positioned very badly and I only get sun in here for about 1-2 hours a day early in the morning. The rest of the time it’s actually rather gloomy in here. My kitchen, on the other hand, where you don’t want to spend most of your time is sunny and bright for most of the day! Strangely laid out bungalow methinks. I bet it was designed by a man!

114 Floral Profusion Main

I used a flower kit from Craftwork Cards, but added my own diecut and rolled flowers to the centre of the flowers I made from the kit. I also added some of my own ribbons to the wreath background and diamante gems to the centre of each flower. Before attaching the flowers and adding the gems I sprayed them with Crafters Companion spray and sparkle, but it’s not really showing here!

You can see it a little in the close up of the flower below.

  1. This is pretty Lin. Love the soft muted colours and your flowers look gorgeous. They really finish the kit off. I have the same problem with no sunshine in the room that I craft in. Hugs Mrs A.
