Lexi’s Creations Punches and/or Dies

Our challenge at Lexi’s Creations this time is to use your punches and/or dies. We are sponsored by the lovely Joanna Sheen with a £10 voucher for her store.

Lexi 87

I started off with some plain centura cardstock which I ran through the HappyCut with a Marianne Corner die, which leaves a cut out area as opposed to making a corner diecut. I backed this with some more centura pearl in blue, to match the other colours I had used.

The pink swirls are from DieNamics and Memory Box, and the rose is from my stash.

The image is a stampendous stamp, which I stamped in blue and embossed with the blue powder from one of the Frantage Encrusted Jewel Kits. I coloured it with copics and promarkers. The mat was from a HUGE collection of Kanban foiled diecut mats which I would need to use on virtually every card until the end of time to get through. So rather than have them sitting there telling me off for buying them, I have decided to start diecutting them myself as the shapes provided are not that useful to me. I used a Spellbinder die to cut this mat out.

I am entering this into the following:-

  2. Lin, your blog is gorgeous. I love the colors and it's outstanding looking. Now for the card....this is gorgeous. It's sexy, sweet and pretty as heck. Another thing, I have this corner die from a craft show years ago and have been so frustrated with it...I kept thinking something was wrong with it cause it doesn't completely punch out the die. I see your card and now I realize, duh.....so thank you from the bottom of my heart. This is a great card and hope to see more of your artwork soon. Thanks for joining us at the Sweet Stampin' Challenge! --Gail
