What a glorious morning here, sun shining, not too hot, peace and quiet. The calm before the storm of the kids breaking up for their summer hols. I live opposite a park and it can get very noisy during weekends, evenings and the holidays.
I have been busy most of the weekend playing with the Serif Digital Artist Scrapbooking software and I managed to come up with a layout – my first ever – showing my lovely, sadly missed dog and my Daughter. Now I am torn between some cards and more playing with the new software. Plus I have a mountain of photos to scan in and convert to digital, eeeekkk.
I also managed to squeeze in a card! Only one mind.
I am entering this into the following challenges.
Raise The Bar – Old, New, Borrowed, Blue – Well the blue is a bit obvious, the majority of the colouring is blue, the old is the background paper which I have had for several years, the new is the gorgeous Kanban stamp from the Annabel and Lucy range and the borrowed is the punch I made the decorative corners with! Well the corners on the mat, not the gem ones, obviously.
Stampavie and More – Anything Goes - ‘nuff said
My Time to Craft – Butterfly Bliss – the sweet little butterfly perching on the edge of the mat
Papertake Weekly – In the garden – well where else will you find a frog, unless you have a brother and he puts one in your bed, as happened to a friend of mine! *shudders* and silently thanks the fact I only have a Sister.
Flutterby Wednesday Challenge – A butterfly/fairy/angel and three layers. My three layers are the nestie shape under my image and beneath that the rectangular mat with the punched corners and beneath that a blue mat to match the nestie shape.
Creative Card Crew – Die Cuts – Nestie shape
You can’t see it on the image, drat, but I covered her wings and the stars on her wand with cosmic shimmer sparkle pigments and it glistens. The rest was coloured with promarkers, and some inktense pencils to give the background a bit of colour.
I must get on and get some cards completed now, so playing with my software is gonna have to wait a while longer. Why oh why are there not more hours in the day, at least those I am not feeling too tired to appreciate, lol.
