CCM 137 Dots

Our challenge at Crafty Cardmakers this time around is to go dotty. NOT difficult for me as I am pretty sure I am more than half way there already!

137 Dotty

I created my dotty background by stencilling through a Prima Bubbles stencil with three different mauve shades of Distress Inks over some Imagination Crafts patterned paper. My image from A Day of Daisies called Hepburn Dress was coloured with copics and then I dotted some sharpie pen over the skirt to add more dots to my card.

The ribbons are from my stash and the diecut is an Anja one from Marianne. I added a couple of gems in her hair where she might have a hairband or ribbon around her up do, and also one to the sentiment, all of which I coloured with the same copic I used for her dress.

CCM 136 Wings

Our challenge at Crafty Cardmakers this time is Wings. We would like to see your projects with wings, birds, insects, planes, fairies… basically anything as long as it has wings.

136 Wings 1

I’ve created a tag using distress inks in Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade, Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio and Dusty Concord. I then used a Memory Box stencil to create the sunrays with texture paste which I covered with Stampendous Stardust embossing powder and heat set. This has the weird effect of bubbling the texture paste slightly whilst the embossing powder melts.

My sentiment is from Paper Artsy, and the ‘Crowned Bunnies’, which I reckon are hares because of the length of their ears, are from Crafty Individuals. I coloured them with Maya Gold paint, and finally added wings diecut with a Spellbinder die. The little queen/crown charm was from my stash.

The sentiment speaks to me as I suffer with anxiety and would love to be brave and fear nothing. I reckon if you had wings you could just fly away so no situation would be too worrisome as you could just leave it far beneath you.

I have included the photo below because in the one above you cannot see the shimmer of the Maya Gold paint on the bunnies, and the charm was in the shade.

136 Wings 3

I am entering this into:-

Altered Eclectics – Anything Goes
Creative Corner – Animal Fun

ABC G for Go Digital

I can’t believe it’s April already, the year is flying by!

Our challenge at ABC today is G for Go Digital and we are sponsored by Aurora Wings.

G Go Digital

I have taken the challenge quite literally as far as the image goes. I used ‘Rite of Spring’ from our Sponsor which I loaded into my graphics programme and then coloured her digitally before printing. Because I wasn’t very good at shading digitally I added white highlights with a sharpie poster paint pen, and also some glitter highlights. Her face was coloured by hand with my copics.

The diecut borders top and bottom of the image are from Joycraft and the gorgeous feather paper is from Craftwork Cards. The sentiment came with some feather stamps in a magazine freebie.

I am entering this into:-

Aurora Wings – #13 Anything Goes (Face is handcoloured, please yell out if this doesn’t qualify)
Craft Your Passion – #255 Anything Goes
Crafting By Designs – April: Anything Goes
Crafting From the Heart – #53 Anything Goes
